Regarding my last edit (11:04 GMT, 10 January 2007 CasperEACClemence): I have reinstated some of my old text. I have tried to find a balance in style, incorporating past clean-ups while making it more readable. I don't want to have a battle over style so if you disagree with this change, let's discuss.

Looks fine to me, although I didn't like "mirrored" - in what way does water "mirror" the other two things? It accords with them, rather than mirroring them, I think. Otherwise, looks good. Cop 633 15:13, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps "mirrored" is not exactly the right word. My intention is to communicate that though water is not a film-noir convention its self, it is used as an extension of it. I will tinker a little more.

For what it's worth, I think water is a film noir convention. Proper noir is all about rain and puddles on the street, right? Cop 633 21:04, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
